They fit perfectly into our open-backed shelves with 13-inch square openings. In testing, we found the Amazon Basics collapsible fabric bins ideal for a home office or craft room. Although not suitable for very heavy items, they can hold a variety of books, paper goods, and toys. This size allows the bins to fit in a host of spaces for colorful organization under beds and benches, on cubby shelves, and even simply placed on the floor in kids’ playrooms or craft areas. Measuring 10.5 inches long by 10.5 inches wide by 11 inches high, these storage bins are available as a six-pack with a choice of six colors: beige, black, gray, brown, navy, and red. The bins are also collapsible for convenient storage when not in use. Each bin features a handle that makes it easy to pull it out and put it away as needed. They can simplify the storage of many small, everyday items while keeping the cubby area of a foyer or mudroom neat and organized. The bins are also collapsible for convenient storage when not in use. For versatile open storage at a budget-friendly price, it’s hard to beat these fabric storage bins from Amazon Basics. Best Bang for the Buckįor versatile open storage at a budget-friendly price, it’s hard to beat these fabric storage bins from Amazon Basics. The locking clips on the bins are somewhat flimsy and easily fall off. They are sturdy and provide ample space to hold a variety of objects. The semitransparent containers let users identify what’s inside without removing the lid.Stackable design makes it easy and stable to nest bins on top of each other. However, reattaching the lids is easy, making this downside more of a nuisance than a problem. Our only objection was the lids’ locking mechanism, which seemed flimsy and even fell off a few times. We also like the bins’ stackable design because it makes nesting them into smaller corners easier. We especially appreciate how the molded hand area at the bottom of the bin made it easier to lift. The 19-quart containers are large enough to hold an ample amount yet still small enough to fit on shelves. In testing, we used them to hold an assortment of items, including pet supplies, arts and crafts tools and materials, and even some dried pantry goods. We loved the versatility of this set of six bins. Overall, these versatile storage bins can hold virtually any object, and their stacking ability makes them ideal for narrow or cramped storage areas. Sturdy plastic makes them appropriate for lightweight as well as heavier items. The storage bins are semiopaque to offer some privacy as well as just enough visibility to potentially identify what’s inside. Each size is available for purchase as a pack of six. This 19-quart size measures 15.38 inches long by 12.38 inches wide by 9.63 inches high, and all of the sizes feature handles and latches with an ergonomic design, making them comfortable to move. These plastic storage bins from Iris USA are available in different sizes and quantities. In 2014, the market received an innovative project: Time Out Market. In the 21st century, in 2001, the first floor of the space dedicated to a new social, cultural and recreational aspect was inaugurated. The Market regained its reputation as the center of wholesale and retail trade. A clock was also installed, considered revolutionary for the time, coming from France, from the company Horloges Bodet. At the entrance, tile ashlars were placed, by the painter Vitórai Pereira, and panels whose theme is the sea, created by Jorge Colaço. An oriental-inspired dome was installed and the exterior was tiled. The reconstruction of the market was completed in 1930 and João Piloto was the architect in charge of rebuilding the space. In 1893, a fire almost completely destroyed the market and it was eventually demolished in 1926. Since the opening date, the market has undergone successive renovations and expansions. Also known as Mercado da Ribeira Nova, the space was designed by engineer Ressano Garcia, who built a 10,000-square-meter building with an iron structure and installed a central corridor with water, which allowed goods to be preserved and provided sanitation. In 1771, King José ordered the construction of the new Market on Avenida 24 de Julho, for the sale of fresh fish. In 1766, after the earthquake, due to the city’s restructuring plan drawn up by Marquês de Pombal, the market was transferred to Cais do Sodré, where it is currently located. This is how the Ribeira Velha Market came about, in the Campo das Cebolas area, where vegetables, fish and fruit were sold. Essential goods were sold on the streets of the city, which began to cause some concern in terms of organization and led to the need to create specific locations for merchants. Since always, Lisbon has established itself as a meeting place for merchants and the place of arrival of goods from the East of Africa and Brazil, later marketed to central and northern Europe. Discover its history and the importance it continues to have in the city. Eight years ago, it received the Time Out Market project, combining today the tradition of a market with a modern space with restaurants and leisure areas. The Ribeira Market, also known as the 24th of July Market, has undergone several renovations since its inception. AGOS appears to be a single-player game, so perhaps Ubisoft has finally learned the risks that come with multiplayer-only VR games. Surprisingly, considering the studio’s pedigree, Ubisoft’s VR titles so far have largely fallen short of achieving ‘must-play’ status, and their focus on multiplayer has left many of the games to languish without a stable population of players. Additionally the company’s Ubisoft Escape Games brand has also developed several out-of-home VR escape rooms. While most major game development studios haven’t yet committed significant resources to making VR games, Ubisoft has done pioneering work in the VR space with five titles already released to in-home VR users. Given the scope of AGOS, and its lack of existing IP, this seems likely to be another project altogether. Some may recall news last year that Ubisoft was spinning up production of a new AAA VR game, with some reports suggesting that the company had signed a deal to develop Oculus-exclusive VR games based on Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed. The game is exclusive to VR headsets, and will be available on Oculus PC (Rift, Quest via Link) and SteamVR. Players can expect to “explore, scavenge resources, unlock new technologies, and face the perils of space to maintain life on board your ship during this extraordinary journey to save humankind.”ĭespite only just being announced, AGOS: A Game of Space has a release date of October 28th (little more than a month away). The AGOS announcement trailer shows players customizing modular probes for various tasks, though it isn’t quite clear if the probes are controlled in first or third person. Players will become the AI operating the last ship to leave a condemned Earth, guiding a group of survivors across eight unique stellar systems to find a new home.” Original article (September 10th, 2020): In AGOS: A Game of Space Ubisoft says that players will embark on “an interstellar journey to reach a new habitable planet. The original article announcing the game follows below: Stay tuned for more as we make our way through Ubisoft’s latest stab at multiplayer VR. We have a review copy in hand, however we haven’t had enough time between receiving it and playing it for our review. Through Steam, the game supports all major SteamVR headsets, including Valve Index, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Windows VR headsets. Update (October 28th, 2020): With seemingly little fanfare, Ubisoft is today launching AGOS: A Game of Space on Steam and the Oculus Store for Rift. The made-for-VR space sim is set to support PC VR headsets across Steam and the Oculus Store. But even if they iron out the flaws, X: Rebirth is just so innately unlikable, and so deathly boring, that I think it may be beyond help.Ubisoft is today launching its latest VR title, AGOS: A Game of Space. There are more bugs and broken missions than I have space to list here, and save-file editing is almost always the go-to solution, which is just absurd when you realise they're charging £40 for the pleasure. Now imagine the exact opposite and you have X: Rebirth's charmless world. Think about how rich and full of character the Mass Effect universe is. It's only in the (dreadful) story that you'll find any excitement: its large-scale space battles are at least genuinely impressive to behold. The characters you talk to cycle through the same few dumb lines. There are countless stations, jobs, contracts and ways to make money, but it's all deeply tedious, and utterly free of personality. The biggest problem is that there's nothing fun to do. I could never get Adjust & Clarity to look right except for contrast, and I learned to guestimate the colors. I use an off-the-shelf HP laptop, not much in the way of color management, but I have it so that the on-screen image is close-enough to the printed output (relative to colors). Plus I was waiting for photoFXlab v2.0 - still waiting.īut for myself, there was a serious problem with the image tweaking filters (Adjust, Clarity). For one thing, I have the complete Topaz Collection, and the Pro features in Studio felt like a betrayal. When I first started with it, I really wanted to dislike it, not intensely, just because. We only found one quirk when going back to edit a Smart Object, but this can be remedied easily.Who can compare Topaz Studio free and pro features vs Adjust, InFocus, DeNoise, Details and other well-known stuff? It is a top notch plugin for making big effects with just a few clicks. Topaz Studio 2 will appeal to both beginning and advanced users. This Photoshop plugin has an easy to understand user interface with a huge range of options and effects. This way you can quickly retrieve it if you want to go back and edit it later. You can overcome this by saving your Look in the plugin before applying it to your layer in Photoshop. Note: if you go back to make changes to your Smart Filter, the effects in Studio 2 are reset to defaults. Make sure you have a merged layer selected and set it to a Smart Object when you use the filter. There are a few limitations to this that you must be aware of before using this plugin. However, if Studio 2 is part of a larger editing process, then using it as a plugin makes more sense. Just load up your file, make adjustments and save. If you’re working with a single image, it makes perfect sense to use Topaz Studio 2 as a standalone program. Studio 2 can work as a standalone program or as a Photoshop plugin. This allows you to make adjustments to a given Look, and then save it as your own Custom Look! Standalone vs. When adding a Look to your image, you can go into the layer stack and see which Filters are used. Each filter can be modified by selecting blend modes and opacity to really fine-tune your effects. This allows you to go back to any filter and make adjustments whenever you want. Once you’ve become familiar with the basics, there’s plenty of room to play around with Topaz Labs Studio 2.įor example, you’ll find that adding several filters will create a layer stack, just like inside Photoshop. You can just sample the effects and take your time to find one that suits your style. It’s super easy to scroll through the Looks to see how it will affect your image, without having to commit to it. You can apply any Look with just one click, and then adjust with a slider from 0-100. Looks can be sorted by categories such as: painting, abstractions, cartoon and many more. A really cool feature is that you can save your own custom Looks to use in the future! This plugin includes dozens of Looks included to get you started right away. These looks are essentially a preset stack of filters that result in really creative and sometimes amazing effects! Studio 2 has another set of adjustments called Looks. These filters are really fun to play with and can really transform your image dramatically! The Looks Tab This set of filters will especially appeal to photographers who want to add specific moods to their work.įinally, you’ll also find a set of Stylistic filters with names like glow, smudge, texture, impression (paint effect), and flare. This set of filters are great if you want to make subtle artistic effects for your images. Topaz Labs has also included a lineup of Creative filters, including dual tone, color theme, vignette and much more. Here you’ll find precision contrast, color tuning, sharpening, dehaze, brightness contrast and more. The Essential filters offered in Studio 2 are quite extensive and you may recognize many of them. The plugin is easy to use once you understand how to navigate these two tabs! The Filters Tab in Topaz Studio 2 The only thing to really notice is the difference between Filters and Looks. Topaz Studio 2 is easy to use right from the beginning. Note: Studio 2 is also included in the Topaz Creator Bundle. It’s main weakness is that it is in many ways similar to other suite type plugins, like On1 Photo Raw or Luminar 4. As a suite type plugin it can be used either as a Photoshop plugin, or as a standalone program, which might appeal to users who don’t need to make any changes within Photoshop. This Photoshop plugin also delivers a very large range of effects, from basic photo adjustments, to dramatic paint effects. Studio 2 is a solid plugin that will appeal to a wide range of user abilities. |
